sweet as tupelo honey
van morrison sang while
we
lingered in the sunday bed
comfortable in our bare skins
rumpled covers
folded with the flowered spread
of our years together
concentrated
and consecrated
as a premium nectar
the moment
bloomed in our
meadow of gratitude
our breathing
buzzed in sync
golden sticky and sweet
knowing we couldn't
hold on
forever
we licked
our honeyed lips
and kissed

Kindness is like a cup of tee
Kindness is like a cup of tee
If you want to taste the tee
You have to fill the cup
So, if you want to taste the happiness
You have to fill your heart with kindness
Life is like a cup of kindness
You can taste it or
You can waste it …
Love is like a cup of tee
You can make it sweet or
You can make it sour …..

Since I Grew Wings
Since I grew wings
no longer poor am I.
The ground no longer interests me
as much as drafting the sky.
Catching a current,
I stretch my reach and soar.
Unbound, untethered, there is no thing
except the yes of an opened door.
To say it tickles me is only a hint.
To understand the bigger look
I had to let go, forgive and admit.
There is just here, this floating
past all tumultuous storm,
to then rest in the calm of clouds,
swaddle between being newly born.
When in body before, there was
a heaviness that weighed me down,
but oh, now the lightness carries me
carries me on the feathered flight
beyond all measure
beyond all perceptual sight.

Something Inside
(A fav of Mish over at Kindspring.org)
You ask how I speak so confidently
for those I do not know.
Well, in every language
“love” translates the same.
There was never a time
the moon was not loving the wave
in the ancient poetry of sending
away and drawing in.
Raindrop, bucket, ocean—
a single ancestry
poured itself
into every swelling thing.
And now we weep at nothing—
the moan of a chord
the turn of a verse,
the way moonlight falls on a face.
I don’t mean to be didactic, but
something inside longs to be known.
It’s not so difficult to understand
if you sit sweetly in your own fullness.

Love Is My Favorite
Love
is my favorite subject
with reams of memories
filling tattered notebooks
albums and frames
that weigh Lighter than air
scribed in paisleys and plaids
hearts and flowers and hugs
and underscored with tears
Love
sits beside me
an invisible companion
holding my hand
helping me write the syllabus
of a diploma learned
in heart
and worn with a golden robe

Your love comes to me
Your love comes to me
in darkened shadowy places
where I forgot to turn on the light.
It spreads over me as a halo
of hope, flecked with gold and tears.
There is nothing unfathomable about
the lifesaver you toss to me.
It is the circular support that buoys me
when those menacing morays
want to nibble at my dangling toes.
Your love washes over me
in gentle healing waves
nudging me towards sunnier skies
and remedies unashamed.
It is the glimmering of universes
dancing on the petals of unfolding.
Fountains sprout where thoughts
once threatened to drown.
And I am saved
by your love.

In that breath
In that breath,
you know that one - where you breathed in
the love I exhaled.
The love that grew from my chest.
From my heart center,
green as the first tendrils
of spring.
That breath, it traveled
faster than time or tech
to where you were
inhaling,
inflating your belly,
filling your lungs with tenderness
that caused your heart to grow
greener too.
I felt it bloom
with a gentleness of knowing,
fully and with no doubt,
that we are the tangled shoots
gloried and woven, rising up towards
the sky,
chaliced as holy beings,
the radiant breaths of a rayed sun.

Water is Blessed by Faeries Feet
by gryocloudy
Water is blessed by faeries feet.
Springs are purified by their skin,
they know most cruel love misteries,
and strengthen hearts like a forge.
Mischievous they sink, fragile, the canoe.
They play, nude, sweet as honey.
Loyal and beautiful presence to their forest,
they hide their smiles behind the bushes (zagua is proper noun for a bush)
Among laughter and singing, night falls.
But their dance keeps flowing over flowers.
They love, sensuous, their affection grows.
In half-light they forget their fears
If that tender ash come to life again,
they will dance tomorrow again, with great pleasure.
...
And the spanish original version:
Bendicen con sus pies las hadas, agua,
purifican manantiales con su piel.
saben los misterios del amor más cruel,
y avivan corazones como fragua.
Traviesas hunden frágil la piragua,
juegan desnudas, dulces como la miel,
son al bosque de bella presencia fiel
y ocultan sus sonrisas tras la zagua.
Entre risas y cantos anochece.
Mas la danza sigue sobre las flores,
Aman, sensuales, su cariño crece.
En penumbras olvidan sus temores
ya si aquel tierno fresno reverdece,
danzarán mañana de mil amores.

Comfortable Silence
Comfortable silence sits on the sill sheltered with the ledge of the listening deeper. Shall I fish it from the wind flowing the curtains fluttering as a freedom’s wink? Or maybe, I will peer thru the glass lightly fogging a heart-shaped spot that is as transitory as the moment that has now slipped into the past where the cardinal’s song reverberates from the bare-boned scrub willows. Wrapping myself in the afghan’s colors I know to take the weave and string a lifeline to whatever will transpire. mj poem |

Sun up
☀️The sun is up
I fill my kindness cup
The switch is flipped
Into my light I am dipped
Let the day begin
Led by love it's a win/win ❤️
My morning ditty
May not be all that witty
But it leaves me sitting pretty 😍

Around the garden !!
Trees are calling me
Sending invitation by smiling leaves
Colorful butterflies are aso there
flowers are waiting for honoring me
Birds are singing peaceful music
Cool & fragrant Winds are also present
A soft & silky green bed sheet is ready
For sharing
A cup of goodness
A minute of happiness
A tale of natural treasure
A song of natural music
A scene of natural beauty & creativity

Love Lives Within Us
She stands alone, on top of the hill.
She views the world around her with a clear and steady gaze.
She sees its beauty and its scars.
She feels its joys and its sorrows.
She hears the sounds of life, the birds and the bees, the voices raised in praise and those raised in anger.
She stands among us.
She feels unconditional love for all that is, in the way that it is in that moment.
She shines her love for all to see and feel.
She is loved by many but not by all.
She takes no actions but allows for others to find their own way.
She is there to support and guide but only when asked.
She accepts herself for who she is, without judgment or shame.
She is mother, father, sister and brother.
She is infant, child, adult and older.
She is timeless.
She lives within each and every one of us.
She is love.
(As a suggestion, read through this post again and replace she and she is with I and I am. Each of us has the capacity to love and be loved, if only we acknowledge and accept it. Please feel free to share, if you are so inspired. )

Atlas
Cutting old road map atlas of the USA into paper squares for making doves ❤️🕊🌎.
We had used the atlas on many a journey. What better way to recycle those many miles and roads?
Is a contemplative exercise of place awareness:
Where we are.
Where others are.
How Peace and Love are our true connect.
How I am doing my small bit to encourage.
In the wing of each dove goes this blessing:
Paper dove of Peace
Guide without cease,
Our journey our road
In traveling life flowed.
Bless us with grace
Past uncertain space,
With acts being kind
Most grateful we find.
May this dove always lead you in
the direction of peace, my friend.

Hope
HOPE
Do you wear a mask for the world
to see?
When all of you, inside, longs to
be free?
A prison, a cage, in which you’re enclosed,
A smile on your face so no one else knows.
A life of pretense of what lies inside,
Where your friends and your family
Don’t see the lies.
Despair and torment, sorrow and fear.
These things that have followed you
Year after year.
No strength on the inside,
to muster a shout,
For walls to come down and to find a way out.
In the midst of the day,
When you’re lying in bed.
With horrible thoughts,
Going round in your head.
It feels like you’re caught in a Spider’s Web…..
And you wish you were dead!.....
In the midst of the turmoil
you hear a
small voice
Telling you softly that you have a choice.
You don't have to suffer or walk on your own. Through the storms and the trials you were never alone.
The still small voice
It sounds like love
Reminding me softly that He is enough…..
‘Those things that you suffer. I suffered them too.
There in the Garden I did it for you.
Reach out your hand and put it in mine. This journey we’re on.
Well it will take time.
But we’ll walk it together.
Safe in my love. Drawing strength from my Father in heaven above.
When the fear overtook me
I gave out a cry.
Forsaken... I thought, but that was a lie.
My Father was with me though I could not see.
I reached out in despair and he strengthened me.
Then I knew what I had to do.
And what I did, I did for you! Crucified upon a tree. I laid down my life so you would be free.'
Reach out and let me take your hand. Now you know I understand. Everything you’re going through.
All I have revealed is true.
So special child open the door.
So that I can show you more.
My love for you will cast out fear. You will learn I'm always here. When dark thoughts are in your head. Reach out and talk to me instead!

For a new beginning
Spring officially begins with the Spring Equinox which is today! This event marks the astronomical first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.
For a New Beginning by John O'Donohue
In out-of-the-way places of the heart,
Where your thoughts never think to wander,
This beginning has been quietly forming,
Waiting until you were ready to emerge.
For a long time it has watched your desire,
Feeling the emptiness growing inside you,
Noticing how you willed yourself on,
Still unable to leave what you had outgrown.
It watched you play with the seduction of safety
And the gray promises that sameness whispered,
Heard the waves of turmoil rise and relent,
Wondered would you always live like this.
Then the delight, when your courage kindled,
And out you stepped onto new ground,
Your eyes young again with energy and dream,
A path of plenitude opening before you.
Though your destination is not yet clear
You can trust the promise of this opening;
Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning
That is at one with your life's desire.
Awaken your spirit to adventure;
Hold nothing back, learn to find ease in risk;
Soon you will be home in a new rhythm,
For your soul senses the world that awaits you.

Love is...
A Poem by Elizabeth Skyraven
Life is Love, enjoy it.
Life is Light, shine it.
Life is peace, show it.
Life is truth, know yours.
Life is joy, revel in it.
Life is hope, believe in it.
Life is harmony, vibrate in it.
Life is unity, connect to it.
Life is your dream, live it.
Life is your choice, choose it.
Life is your story, narrate it.
Life is love, be and give it.
Love is co-creation, create it.
Love is eternal, remember it.
Love is All There Is, BE IT.
Love is Peace, LIVE it.

Happy Trails
By T Henry at Gratefulness.org
Sun barely risen
So too am I
Another August mornin’
Punchin’ doggies
Feels like far
Since I left my mam and pap
Wrote em’ once
Think I was in Arkansas
Man said head west son
There’s good land for the takin’
Sweet water runs along the ridge
Good grazin’ as far as the eye can see
Best keep movin’ the herd
Gotta reach New Mexico by November
Some good ol’ boys helpin’ the ol’ man
Makes the saddle ride a bit smoother
When she’s done
Might just set a spell
Arizona in December
Seems about right
Nothin’ finer then sun settin’ on the trail
Me and the boys sittin’ round the fire
Tall tales about runin’ cattle
Taller still about the loves
Won & lost along the way
It’s a good life
Yes sir, a good ol’ life

It’s a good life
Yes sir, a good ol’ life

Tingles
Love has tingled me
down
to
my toes
and lightened me up
to ride a rainbow's expose.
Love has cooed
in my arms rocked with a lullaby,
and I felt my heart open
wider and fly.
Love has caressed me on the whirling wind,
settling into the space
between my earthly ribs
fueling each breath with grace.
Love has dashed me
upon the rocks as well,
giving me time and impermanence
to wear away the sorrowful swell.
Love has filled all the
apparent gaps
with a deep knowing of a forever-after
abiding happiness.
